Info on RB Engines?

Hey guyz, I have a 84 VK commodore with a red 202 and want to do an RB conversaion on it. The reason i'm posting it here is because as far as I know the VL's came with the RB engines so you'd know alot more about them than on the VK/etc forums. Could you give me an idea on price for the different RB engines, what the differences in preformace would be, etc. Thanks
I would love to get the RB26DETT, but I can just imagine what that would cost me

At the moment i'm looking at the RB25DET (preferred), RB20DET (probably the cheaper option), and as a last resort the RB20ET (it'll do). So information on the cost of the engine/conversions for those would also be handy.

Go and buy yourself an import magazine.

They are usually loaded with ads and a lot have prices.

Depends what your after, rb26dett - 5k+ straight up
Rb25det your looking 3k+
Rb20et I couldn't tell you.. They can't be too dear though as everyone gets them.

Or you can build yourself a rb30et.

Or, you could build yourself an rb30/25det- that'd be the ultimate. Single huge turbo, lots of mods to the engine and viola.. Instant toughness.

Try Japanese Motorsport. Or JMS. You'll find it in Google, send them an email asking for a current engine price list and see how you go.
