Just need a few possibilities for the problem i've got with my VL NA 6.
Charged the battery up so i could start it after not driving it for a week.
Put the battery in, jumped in and turned the key to get it started. Turned over once or twice, then fired. Ran for approx 5 seconds and started to get a little low on revs. Started manipulating the throttle to try keep the revs up, the engine was stuttering somewhat in the middle of the revs.
After 7 or 8 cycles of pressing the throttle, then releasing it to let the engine run i was in the middle of the next throttle application when there was a loud knock from the engine and she died and wouldnt start.
PS. Found some milky residue in the radiator when i took the battery out this arvo, and i know what that tends to mean, just wondering if the noise and the sludge could be in anyway related?

Can you remember if your car was running hot a week ago and as it cooled it may have cracked the head due to possibly having air bubbles in your cooling system not being bled properly?
the residue can sometimes be from recent use of a radiator water conditioner or leak stopper
going by the white sludge....sounds like a blown head gasket or cracked head.![]()
Wow, totally forgot i made this topic.
Thanks for all the input.
The car did finally start again, drove it for 3 days, then it refused to start. Jumped it and it started. Now it's just sitting on the road and the SS is clocking up km's
Need to get the effort up to check it out. Might throw a better battery at it as that's probabaly half the cause of my starting woes.
