dose any one know how much for a motor so i can buy the car today
Anywhere from $50 to $200. 20 pound of boost with a N/A gearbox I imagine?? May aswell spend another $50 on another N/A gearbox.

everything on the car is in great condition part for the motor should i rebuild the motor or get a new one?
Was it a turbod high comp motor (N/A)??? Or a VLT motor? Id probably just buy another N/A motor, they go harder and can handle a fair amount of power.

if its a gen cal/turb in good nick then it is worth $1500 even with a busted motor!
throw a n/a in it for the time being and build a new turbo motor for it!

you can run 20psi on a stock motor, even a highcomp conversion
just make sure you have injector to suit and it tuned
the bottom end will hold fine
just make sure you have the air fuel ratio spot on and the head gasket is in good shape

my first car was a vl 5 speed the head gasket blew traded for Nissan 300zx then a vp v6 spent thousand's on the motor and box and now got a vl turbo. my girl friend has not talked to me since i went a payed the deposit on the car I'm in the dog house tonight
at the risk of being shot and flamed teribly, but hey my knowledge of vls has faided away.
but 20 pound boost? is that the stock turbo, or is that a after market one, and can a stock n/a handle that much boost
i am the god of britany spears womanizer on just dance on the wii
Im not sure myself but i believe that the T04 (stock turbo) flowed 9psi from factory and most people wound the boost up to 12psi as a straight up mod! and with cooler and other mods around 15psi, im not sure about 20psi though! maybe if its been high flowed or a hybrid? anyone care to confirm??

Stock turbo is a garret t3. I think they stop producing any more power after 14 or 15psi. And yehh the N/A bottom end can handle 20psi. There is no difference between a turbo motor and N/A motor besides the vlt motor had lower compression pistons.
