    Default 6"speakers

hey guys quick question...can u fit 6 inch speakers in the front of a vl with out wrecking door skins? im looking at buying a wagon and have heaps of stereo gear laying around that will slot straight in...just worried about the big speakers...

the car im looking is absolutely mint interior, so theres no way i wanna cut the doors.

otherwise i guess i gotta source decent 4 inch ones...

thanks for any help guys. Jason

you will need 4" speakers, no way around fitting 6" in the front with out using vs door pods or butchering the door trim

This was my understanding too. From what I could tell the door just isn't deep enough for the 6" and I "think" the window when wound down would get in the way as well.

I wanted to put some in my doors but couldn't bear to cut up the trims and I don't like the pods on VL's. So to compensate I put some decent 4" ones in the dash (where the existing speakers are located).

    exactly loopy,
the window will fit the speaker when you wind it down
and the door shell doesnt have a cut out for the speaker, im pritty sure
would check mine but my car cover is on

you can get shallow speakers but there not that good or the best possible
im going for some 4" splits for my vl, ive set a budget for $400 for a set
