    Default Cheap as possible turbo setup info wanted

    ok,
    i want to turbo my vl auto:
    I want to know the "must have parts" to turbo it,
    i dont care if i blow trannys or diffs
    and a rough ball park fuigure price to do it
    i know pretty much wat i need to do it but
    i want a few second opinions

    ps.it wont be running 25pound boost or anything just
    8psi probally cause ill use a decomp plate

    looks on calais turbo
    youll need about $1200 for a nice setup, standard turbo,injectors decent exhuast cooler etc etc
    you can take short cuts but good chance ull do a headgasket or it just wont make the power it should, and it will break down every 5 mins
    no need for a decomp plate they go great on high comp, mines lots of fun on 9psi highcomp, with a standard t3 cooler and 3"

    means you dont need one ... try search button or calais turbo. theres step by step guide how to do it...

    its not the kind of thing you just buy a 100 dollar box of parts and throw it together, its a forced induction setup... shorcuts will cost you more in the long run than doing in proper to begin with.

    ow ok mate i get ya, so in my head ive got it to do a vlt coversion you need...
    turbo and manifold, computer, both crossover pipes or intercooler and piping,
    oil lines, water lines (if compadable with turbo) dump pipe and possibly the
    injectors aswell.
    is that it or did i forget something

    if you do computer, you need to do injectors.

    you CAN do it with n/a ecu and n/a injectors, but you gotta be bloody careful and get everything spot on - while not running too much boost - to keep things safe

    iv got n/a computer and turbo injectors runs allright, needs to be warm though otherwise it doesnt make any power, its on 9psi and always run 98

    yea i rekon i mite put the vlt injectors and ecu in just to make sure, and im in tassie and its hard to find 98octane here i usually run on 91 or sumthn
