I understand that Chassis numbers depict what type of Holden Commodore it is supposed to be. I have two Chassis numbers which I need help with. I hope you can help me.

I can't tell you from the body no. (vin). some body else on here maybe able to though.

Thanks for your help. I can't give Vin Number as the car was stolen. We believe it has been rebirthed and thought chassis number might give us a clue. The car was a VL Calais Turbo. I have Engine No. if that might help.
holden may help with the engine number, but the engine may have been changed at some stage in it's life.

well if it helps factory turbo motors end in A8 and the non turbo mtrs end in A6

I think only holden could tell you what car had that unique number.

You don't know how much I appreciate your help. How do you get in touch with Holden.
call your local dealer and they should be able to look it up
or possibly try the road branch system in your state (transportsa, vicroads etc) and see if they can help
they might be able to run some number and come up with what they had it registerd as
