    Default problem with thermo housing bolt up top

    hey anyone know how i can do a quick fix on a thermo housing bolt hole(vl commodore rb30 engine) that has been drilled out so the water doesnt leak from the block please i have tightened it up as best as i can but it still just leaking out from the top. someone said to me to puta heli coil in it but i need to buy the whole kit to do it is there a quick fix way ?

    got a picture? i have a few ideas but i dont know how big the hole is..kinda sounds like the drill piece wa bigger then the bolt..

    i got confused in your discription
    but
    try white plumbers tape on the thread and make sure you put it on in the right direction so it doesnt unroll
    and a copper washer on it too

    the real prob is likly that your bolt thread doesnt match properly, try a diffrent one...

    Default hole has been tapped again

    hey the hole is a oval shape, mate tried to tap it again but still no good going to get helicoil pack today for it hopefully that will do the trick

    yea a recoil kit will fix your problem, but take your time if its the 1st time you've used one.
