VL 86 manual ~ Diff

Hi guys,

I'm new to forums
quick question, i just put a rb20 det into my vl and the bloke who installed it and wired it up and what not is telling me to get a bit more power behind it to chuck in a automatic pintara 4:11 diff ~ or just the gears i think.
can anyone tell me if this will crank up the power and if it will go in?

it wont effect your power, it will just affect you gear ratio,
4:11 will give you really good take off but will loose out on top end

the gears will fit fine on your diff centre
the vl has 3:45 factory which isnt too bad
you can also track down 3:7 or 3:9s out of a r31 skyline, these will bolt on like the pintara gears

do you have drum or disk brakes?if got drum change to disk thirst then do your gears

i have drum brakes, yeah i'm getting some new brakes sometime this week so i'll do that first.
