    whats your pocket depth?
set of wilwood 6 spot calipers front and 4 spot rears - prob looking up to the $10k mark

gearbox wouldnt matter so much, more would be wanting to know which one for strength

I think most do the vt brake upgrade for about $1000.
turbo vl has the mx7 gearbox, n/a has the mf5 some would recommend skyline gearboxes.
Nobody wants to play with me

mf5 and mx7 are skyline boxes lol. From what i hear the r33 det boxes are the go. Stronger and better gear ratios then the mx7.

ive got a r32 5spd in my vl
got it rebuilt and it started making a little noise just before i projected it. this was only with a NA,
although i have a feeling it might off been the thrust bearing only

personally i wouldnt use it on the turbo application if you have a tendcy to drive with a bit of curry

use the mx7 at least if not the r33turbo

a good start on brakes is
    disc rear
    vt fronts
    1"master
    turbo/v8 booster

then you can look into it further if your needing more stopping power
