I changed the fuel tank a few weeks ago, because of the owner before me was running lpg for 2 years and not using any petrol, now the fuel gauge isint working changed the fuel pump but it still isnt working, any ideas?
Check connections, old wiring, fuses, even relays.. The wires might have been cut and another gauge reads it, or the old guy gave up on fuel all togethere..
The gauge itself might be stuffed after not working for so long..
Just ideas n thoughts from a saturday night drunk hhaha ...![]()
as the abovesaid, lol, and maybe the float in the sender unit is stuck, while checking the wiring under the car give the tank a couple of hits see if it will loosen up also if the inertia fuel pump is not seated in the swirl pot correctly that will also stop the float from working.
Nobody wants to play with me
have you done the fix thats on calaisturbo.com.au - Powered by vBulletin in the tech section common problem on vls, did it to mine and never had a problem with it after that
i had this problem but i didnt change the fuel tank, and it was cold soldering or something like that. had to remove the dash and get to it there now mine works fine
