Hey guys,
Just looking for some info about a 1987 VL I used to have. I don't think it was a "regular" VL. I think it was some sort of limited edition but I haven't found any info....I don't even see them around anymore.
It looked a bit different from the stock VL.
It was a straight 6, no turbo. The body was completely white, bumpers and trims and everything. There was silver trim around the wheel area and along the top of the doors. The window frames were black. Blue interior. The back light panel on the boot was red...not the usual black with "commodore" on it. On the dash it had a digital clock and a tachometer.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Okay, here's some pics back when I first got the car and it was stock. Needless to say the grandpa blind lasted about 4 seconds....

well RB30's are straight six not V6... thats as much as I know lol...
got any pics? that will help, completly white bumpers and trim would suggest a series 2, the silver wheel arch and top of the doors I am assuming was chrome? wheel arch chrome is not common on a vl above the doors is, the red garnish on the rear also was not that common however I wouldn't say it is rare most are grey alot of series 2's where the same colour as the body, black around the windows is pretty common.
as "piottn" said straight six not v6,
maybe vacationer.
Nobody wants to play with me
if its a V6 then someones just made it up to look like something else, prob nothing special just been screwed with. I had a mate with a VL with a V6 in it. (been put it not factory)
Opera house edition or whatever it was called???

haha...sorry guys. I've had a VX for ages now and I'm in the V6 habit.
I was just trying to say it was the six cylinder, not the eight. And of course it was the straight six. It's funny, because I used to get up people for calling my old ride a V6...
Ya it was chrome...the rear panel was basically a big red reflector.the silver wheel arch and top of the doors I am assuming was chrome? wheel arch chrome is not common on a vl above the doors is, the red garnish on the rear also was not that common however I wouldn't say it is rare most are grey
I also forgot to mention that it had some Berlina-type features, such as a digital clock and a tachometer.
I'll see if I can find some pics....
