i have a vl berlina non turbo ive put a high octane chip in it and now it wont start i got both red and green lights on does anyone have any ideas? cheers.
Pretty good chance your soldering wasn't up to scratch

im not sure if the red and green led's are supose to stay on at all times

I just did one of these the other day. had the same problem with no start and both lights coming on. it was my bad soldering, remember these boards are double sided, both sides of the board need to be soldered to the socket.
have u got high octane fuel in her?? :P
As for soldering easy to have a dry joint goodluck man
yeah both sides are done i got another computer for it and did it again still have the same problem. everything else works just not the fuel pump all works with the old chip.
use a multimeter with the computer unplugged to check your soldering.

or just forget about it and advance your timing to 15 and run premium

luvin the vl to lookin good be a nice ride when its done
the chip only gives you an extra 25flywheel hp
it also has a 3inch straight pipe no mufflers no cat
A chip should work much better than tweaking the dizzy round.did you get it sorted out yet.didnt melt any tracks off the board when you unsoldered and soldered it in.jaymes the guy to talk too hes done a few now.maybe you have the chip round the wrong way or for the wrong ecu.

yeah ill take it so someone ive done it twice now still get the same thing is just running like shit at the moment wants to stall all the time getting to much fuel not enough spark i think.

is it a NA ecu and what sort of tune you putting in it another NA tune or what

its a na ecu and im putting a bmp vl-na rb30e high octane chip in it
should be easy enough then you need to make sure you dont get it too hot.did you cut the pins off the old eprom and unsolder one at a time or slowly do the whole chip out mission did you put a socket in or you just soldering the chip straight in.

i might of got it to hot i tried cutting the pins off the first time second time i done the chip at once i had the socket but it fell apart just got the chip now
the socket fall apart from melting when you were installing it and removing it.these boards dont like to much heat you might of burnt a trace on the board.
