    depends on its life........
has it been treated well or thrashed
is it stock or is it played with

more so you will need to look into the body and all the other areas, brakes drivetrain diff
no point having a turbo vl if the rest wont hold up or match whats done to it

    its thrashed more then likly
if its never been boosted then it would be standerd 6-7psi which it would hold fine with the over boost valve
you dont run a adjustable boost controler for no reason

just look over the car for rust
under the rear windscreen and around the front window
the rear boot rubber lift that off and see how that looks

check oil cap for milkyness which is a sign of cracked head or gasket

sounds ok.the eng is a og turbo block anyways so thats a plus in your favour.

i would be starting it up on a cold start thoe so you can listen for noises etc and also when the car is cold on start up the oil seals in turbo have not yet expanded so you will see if the turbo seals are fine.

my old r33 used to piss out oil when it was cold 1st thing in the morning until it warmed up then it stopped blowing smoke.

    up load some pics

and whats the benefit of the original turbo block?
suppose its got all the goodies to suit the turbo hey
not just bolting a turbo on to a stock block?

bearings and the rods are the same as the NA motor just the pistons are flat (not domed) to lower the compression over the NA motor

    has better oil pump
diff cam, to stop a flat spot over mid range
    intake manifold is diffrent,
besides that and the holes for the oil and water its the same
