Hey guys, i've had an n/a 5 speed sl before and loved it. went for another drive in my mates turbo manual today and loved it. I am considering doing a vl turbo as a project. I just wanted to know what you guys think is the best way, i want it to be manual, not crazy quick but still very decent. Do i need the turbo gearbox/diff if i am only running low boost?
Should i buy a shagged vl with a good shell, bad running gear and transplant it? Or buy a factory turbo and fix it up or rebuild it? I have read that you can turbo the s2 vl's and turn them into a high compression turbo very easily? Also, what sort of prices am i looking at for this? I will do all the work i can myself and am looking to do it properly but cheeply. Any help would be great, thanks guys![]()
