Hey guys,
My names Troy I'm a 17yo commodore lover from Vic. Just thought I'd google my car and i found this website. Thought you guys might like another member so here we are.
I drive a "Holden Red" 1988 VL Executive.
Modifications so far:
Exhaust: 3" polished no muffler and extractors.
Engine: K&N Performance filter.
Interior/System: (not installed yet) 200w 6x9s(back) 200w (front) + tweeters. VDO deck.
Exterior: VN Calais mags for now. De badged.
Coming soon: Mesh front grille, New Rims (looking to buy), lowered 2" all round(recommend anything?)
I have been told my VL was one of the last to be produced.
I'd love to hear any comments you guys might have as well as tips for a VL owner.

Nice ride m8, clean an straight.![]()
Regards oldboi
Exhaust: 3" polished no muffler and extractors. 3" is way to big fro a na man go 2 1/4" for the best power.
I agree
Anyway nice lookin vl mate, interior an paint look clean,
If I were u I wouldn't go a calais mesh grill they look terrible on a sl/berlina front
If your lowering it kingspring superlows are a nice low hightan best u buy an adj pan hard rod an have your gaurds rolled as they will scrape your wheels over little bumps when u have passengers in the back.
but that's just my thoughts
Good luck with it mate
Thought i'd put a nice shot of the back up.
Superlow King Springs are on Ebay for about $250 - $300. is that a decent price?
Oh and if i bought the springs and took them into a shop would they put them in for me? or would i have to buy the springs and labour at the shop? if i had to buy both at the shop what kind of price would i be looking at?
thanks guys.
hey welcome mate
springs are not hard to fit bro cheaper to do yourself
ok thanks mate. i just heard that the front ones were a bastard to fit. thanks for clearing that up.
yeah they can be a real prick but worth the money in your pocket if you can do it yaself
