Okies so i had some thoughts and put the pen to the papper,

Now what do you reckon of these....

I took the idea of putting the silver trims on and change bumper to grey, I will be doing the manual conversion really soon as the stuff is at my mums just have to go pick it all up, When i do the conversion i will be re-wiring the whole car as the previous owner fu*ked it all up!! Also will be changing the dash and interior to the best interior i have out them.
The heater box as its noisy as

Changing the headlights as they are dull as all sh*t

Eventually putting the spare motor in once this one dies...Putting power steering on it and have to change front end struts are rooted (wont be for a while)

Finding the straightest pannels out of them and bolting them on (nose cone got a dint) Thats when im ready to spray the whole car (Opinions on colours please)

Finding trims around bumpers and putting on

Looking at what diff gears in each diff and put the best one in (opinions on whats the best gear ratio)

Actually opinions on all would be great

(ALL WORK WILL BE DONE BY MYSELF AND NOT DODGEY AS IM NOT A BUSH MECHANIC LOL)

Ok so i just had a look at the trims around bumpar bar the trim thats on the top, the only one i am missing out of the three cars to make on the purple on is the front right 1 i have all the others,

i also have the rear bumper in silver as well so that saves me striping the paint of the purple one,

Missing the strip off the front windscreen on the passenger side...But i have it on the spare car!

...I have everything from the limited edition for the manual conversion thats why i brought it cost me 750 plus a trip to adelaide from ballarat, long drive that was...
Im going to use the whole loom out of that in the project (which is the purple one for those who dont know)

i also have this A6 engine in the donor car, And the power steering setup and front struts and most likely the nose cone as its straight as a die with no rust as the purple one has a dint right in the centre...

    progress of conversion

    Progress:

I got the shifter out, started to un bolt the gearbox and i found that one of the top auto bolts and one on the starter motor side was half hanging out and not even screwed in at all it was just sitting there. Got it sitting on four rims so i can get under the car easier so i dont have to stuff around with the jack all the time....unbolted the exhaust manifold so it was easier to get to the rear top gearbox bolt.
Ok so i got up early and started the conversion the auto is out after being a real DOG it wouldn't come off so after that went to undo the flywheel yeah right its tight as all f**k so i have left it at that and decided to put the pedals in and all done for the pedals im in the middle of changing dashes because the other on is sh*t so i got the better one of the too, so all i got left to do is change the flywheel and get the gearbox in and finish it off!!!

    O K

guys this is starting to piss me right off im about to smash it
The bolts are like fully stuck i had a spanner and used my foot to try and undo them nopes stuck in there like superglue

And thats about it so far.

if your trying to get the fly wheel bolts off, i think i read that correctly.... get a spanner on the other side to stop the fly wheel spinning. this worked on my brothers eh last weekend but of course we had pulled the engine out, which means more space. but give it a try you'll never know. You didnt mention it but if you try the old dw40 on the bolt, might loosen it up. otherwise RATTLEGUN!

are you sure there not left hand thread??
as mentioned before if the fly wheel turning is your prob remove the starter and place a big screw driver into the fly wheel teeth to stop it

With the flexplate bolts a good trick with anything tight is to have a breaker bar, hold tension on it and use shock force ( smack it with a hammer) till it releases you shouldn need a rattler i know i didnt...

    they are right hand thread..

also give the bolts a few hits on the head with a hammer to crack any corrosion free
