Hey guys and girls as you all know i have my purple vl which i just converted to a manual...
now i have found a Clean VL Berlina for $500 and its an auto, its stock as a rock and here is some picutres but i will get more when i pick it up friday afternoon
so i think im going to change it to manual and make the purple one an auto again and sell it to make some money

Thats much better then the purple one, but compare the boots floors to eachother then make a choice there usally the first things to rust..plus around front and rear window....

Gotta hate the vl rust spots. got a pretty big rust bubble/hole just under the rear window on my calais. i put nail polish in it, hid it, sorta!

i had a next door neighbour that sold me a vl executive for $200, he thought was ****ed but it just was run dry on petrol and the oil was lyk jelly.
that was the paddock thrasher! and the organ donator to that calais!
sweet as mate well she is home now and i gotta give it a wash, it has been sitting in the shed for awhile but ran good as gold. yeh tug ey lol

the mother inlaw picked that up too about the plates and said i should change them lol
ok so the manual is out of the purple one and the auto is out of the berlina all i have to do is put the manual in!!!

oh i forgot to mention that the diff was a little noisy on way home he said it was and has been like that for 4years and nothing happened to it, but i will be changing that as i have spares and put the exhaust on. as its too quite for my liking i cant even here it running lol,
it was serviced every 10,000k's it has all the service history from when it was brought from the melbourne factory in 1988 and was first registered in 88 aswell.
but overall i'm thrilled with the car as it has been garaged all its life and the only rust i can see is a tinyest bit around the front window and thats only surface which isnt too bad!!
oh guess what it came with a gregory's manual so i dont have to get one now![]()

hey ladies and gents well i now have the manual in and taking for a drive it goes pretty hard now that sluggish auto was holding it back but im not thrashing it as it prob never seen a thrashing in its life
all i got left to do is screw the centre console in and put the black cover up were the pedals are that hides the wires and shit...might have to bleed clutch again and i think the second gear selector is gone as it crunches into to second sometimes not always tho
gotta get my alarm system and central locking out of the purple one and stick in the berlina
going to get the lowering springs out of the other vl too
and also change exhuast while im lowering it
well i went to do my exhaust today but i couldnt get it apart from near the diff so i think i will have to buy a new onewhich sux but it doesnt matter if i get time tommorow i will lower it and be all good i will have to go get a roady soon before the 30th of this month as thats when it runs out of rego so i can get it in my name

The body is straight, has a few minor dents and one dent in the rear which has been straightened. I rust-proofed the boot sills when I got it a few years ago, so that probably needs doing again. The paint is pretty good for 20 years old.
I've had this for 4 years now (40,000km) and havent driven it much in about the last 18 months due to upgrading. I was going to give it to my sister but she says she doesnt want it, so as much as I'd love to hang on to it I dont want to be paying yet another lot of rego and insurance.
The goods:
-Replaced the altenator about 2 years ago.
-Replaced the front rotors, brake pads and tyres about 25,000 ago.
-Serviced every 10,000.
-New Bond Silver/Calcium battery about 2 years ago.
-Most of the hoses have been replaced.
I had a look at the ID plate and its actulaly a 1987 but registered as a 1988 lol
is it the diff or auto that makes a little "tink" sorta sound on the odd occasion when you give it a little to drop down a gear? or wtf is it?! lol.
well it was like a whinning noise and now i got the manual in i think its gone so it would of been the auto making a wierd noise but meh if it was the diff i got spares so it doesnt bother me lol

also flushed the radiator coz it was fucing filth but all good now!!!
