Custom painted, Manual VL Calais Turbo
Hey JC, IM BACK!
This time I have a VL
Just a note before i begin, I have not really done any of the following mods, as i have just bought this car as it stands. Only thing ive replaced as of today (july 4th) is the dizzy and part of the exhaust as there was a leak.
Ill update the thread as i remember what has been done to it
[EXTERIOR]
- Purple with blue pearl bare metal respray
- Brand new lights, garnish, bumpers, almost all exterior parts
- 18" white wheels
- Lowered suspension
- Very straight panels
[INTERIOR]
- All electrical options and all are working:
- 2 way sunroof
- Electrical windows
- Electrical mirrors
- Central locking, alarm, immobilizer
- VR SS seats embroided with "Calais"
- New carpet in car and in boot
- Very neat and tidy throughout
[SOUND]
- Almost have all the gear, ill update this when its in
[OTHER INFO]
- BIG powerful battery moved to boot
- Nice little air intake made and coated with heat resistant paint (will post pics later)
[THE BAD]
- Using way too much fuel and smelling like fuel? - Running Rich..?
- Bit of a ding in the front passenger door
- Drivers window is lazy and NEEDS assistance
- NO TURBO YET!!!!
I just washed the car and my girl got out her cam and got some decent pics so tell me what you thinkI have really HI RES ones but i uploaded low res so its easy for people to load...

nice colour on that vl mate but i dont understand the turbo badge when u said its not turbo'd ??

yeah looks very nice on the outside.
Not sure if i like the white wheels just cos they clash with the silver/purple.
But the paint job looks awesome
Get some pictures of that interior up
Its actually a vl turbo, just with an na engine in it, therefore brakes, drivetrain, badging dct is all turbo stuff.

Nice colour mate looks good the VL.
Heres 2 tips for fixing windows Contact cleaner sprayed into switchblock and silicone/ezi glide spray for window channels

New front bumper sprayed and on. 3.5 inch chrome dump tip on.
Hopefully get my blacks in march so getting turbo parts together.

touch up that gutter rash on that rim too.. spew ur not in qld i could re-powder-coat it
good luck with ur future plans
Im just so tight for money at the moment with a trip to fiji just around the corner i cant even afford basic repairs! lol Of course there are leaks in the sunroof, its a VL!

^^^ fair call.. Lols Lazza78 got no leaks with his sunroof... only one i know of
