Hey guys and girls this is my toy it's an aug 87 build rb30 non turbo. It was an unfinished project that I bought had all new lovells suspension original 100,000k on the clock. The previous owner had it in the shed for a while. Interior is immaculate cream interior has a few marks on the body but nothing major I don't have a time frame on this as I'm still trying to get my clubsport finished. The plan is tubs, cage repaint stock white and my spare ve r8 wheels with a decent n/a rb30 with a cam and head work. It has an intercooler mounted ATM but will be removed soon
Forgot to mention once it's on the road and done a few nights at eastern creek it may see a turbo setup I do have. A vlt standard kit here but still not sure
looks good
tubing and caging a n/a thats unusual
That's the plan I Have a turbo for it but when I'm racing I want predictable power and I think one of these with 300-350hp on fat rubber round corners will pretty much be a gokart. If I get bored with it then I might bolt the turbo up and go from there but until then n/a it is
Can someone help me with how to fit a cam and new lifters?? Its just a series two manual vl and is getting ready for a turbo but really wanna fit a cam and get rid of these sticky lifters first
Finally got into the new house and plans have changed a bit. Will put up all the info this week but here is a bit clue as to what's happening.

Got a heap of vl parts to get rid of Inc 5spd conversion kit engine harness, extractors .here's a few progress photos engine and box are in eng and trans mounts are made just need to do final welds and paint.
Still a bit messy next is to smooth the bay and mock everything up. Then engines out and to paint the bay and body
