just a quick photoshop i did with the j' series rims onto my car, couldnt get the wheels to match well as the picture is to dark because of the overcast that was on the crusie.

when i was playing with photoshop last night i did some colour changing and it looked pritty cool in canery yellow, but when i saved it it saved as the colour i was playing around before with and that was pink

so heres two pics, 1st same colour and lowerd, 2nd pink and lowerd

well its offical, i am getting 18x8 HBD j series rims for my birthday, today i went and had a look at them with my mum and found out only one set waws left, sowe struck a deal with the shop and put a deposit on the set,

so in just over a month i will have some nice 18x8 wheels with 235/40r18 rubber (some cheaperish brand) and will look like ruffly like this


just going to have to start working on getting some brakes for the rear as the drums will look a bit out of place

Those rims will look mad on the VL mate. They're top rims but I've never seen them on a VL so should be fairly unique. Lookin forward to seeing the end result.

They look all right don't they.. Come with the wheel nuts and lock nuts too??

well with the rims im getting i get nuts and lock nuts, but if u want the rims earlyer ill taken them off and run with my stockies and hub caps for the time so i will need them, and there standred nuts nothing special

cheers for that christina, yah i try and keep on top of it washed every week and vacumed, and all rubish is thrown away not placed in the car till later.
im bit of a clean freak

well last friday i was thinking about my car at work and thought that the idea of a super charger would be nice, RB30ES not as common as the turbo set up and no lag, i wouldnt be going major engine work just bit of fun with the SC14 super charger on low boost (4psi) but that would be some time away after ive finished school and working full time.

those rims look alright on the VL, but personally i would have gone for a set of 3 pce Simmons Rims, awsome on a Vk/Vl

my parents are paying for the J series for my 18th birthday so im not really botherd, they have grown on me. a mate pointed out that at first glance my car looks like it is off Need For Speed or something with those rims, cant really see it my self though

well took some pictures of my car as soon ill be sitting on some 18s, really like this picture with the clouds but cant wait, under two weeks and ill have 18s,

also i am going to be making a new intake pipe between the throttle and afm, with 2.5inch zorst piping, will make it in one piece with no silicone conecer at the bend like ucwepns piping (pic below) so will see how i go on that


on other news i finished my go kart, well almost need to weld on bull bar but i think its a bit too low though as it bottoms out some times and runs about a inch of the ground very smooth ride and handle pritty good, im happy with it so far and its only cost me 48 bucks for materials + 70 for tyres

boughts some new front strut inserts for my car, Gabriel Gas Ryder, with VST to improve the valve respones in the shock/strut
got my king springs out of the shed and found my adjustable strut tops, just cleaned them up a bit

so will be getting all that fitted hopefully before next saturday as in the morning im getting my 18s fitted, might be having to buy some stock height springs for the rear till i can afford a adjustable panhard rod but ill see on saturday if there is rubbing.

painted my king springs yellow yesterday, as the owner of my old car had painted them black for some reason, so gave them a clean up and painted them all yellow to give the parts where the powder coat had rubber off some cover,to stop any chance of rust. not the best paint job but its only going to see the road so who cares.

painted my drums today also, matt black, the rusty effect wasnt just making it for me and i didnt want to go silver as it would stand out to much. looks so much cleaner now

wednesday morning im droping the car off to get the new struts put in, my king springs and adjustable strut tops, cant wait might be losing the mass body roll




Woot birthday tommorow, another year older and i also have my only school exam tomorrow

suspension is in, handles much better but i need to get the camber set up, the mechanic did it the best he could but a camber aligning is needed, so will get that and a wheel alignment before saturday or see if they can do it saturday when there fitting the wheels

with the adjusable tops the car still lowerd down abit so i am happy, thought the adj tops would cancelled out the low king springs but they didnt

lowerd about half a inch i guess, not much but enough to notice it,

going to have to wash my car and get some photos dont know if it will show the high distance much but it will show diffrence with the rims on after saturday

a picture i took before while i was at the shops, springs need to settle so might move a bit more but it will do for now, i reckon its fine high for the 15s but only time will tell if it will suit the 18s

also ive booked for a wheel alignment and camber adjustment on saturday morning at bridgestone, before they fit the new rims so i will be 49 dollars pourer
