Question what can i do to her??

    hey ppl,

ok, i have an 87 vl manual...
low km, runs awesome, in good nick

a few problems, the body work can have some attention, the paints oxadisin and it's starting to look a lil doddy. I want2 paint her and wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what colour would make it look tough.

the problem i have with the body work is that on the rear left had side passenger door it has multiple indenteations of where an autistic kid had a go at it... yes, i know... not happy about it, but yeah... with that what would anyone suggest i do? go to a wreckers and get a new door? get it panelbeated? buy a straight vl and replace that door? many options what do you think?/???

the second problem with the body work is at the top corner of the windshield just above where the door is,in the corner where it meets, its got a fairly deep dent there asif its been pushed in - like... by a fist, lol? should that be easy to get out? what do u reckon...??

    basic info her:

    Group A body kit
    2-1/2inc. exht.
lowered rear... *not front* --nose up--
sound system - screen, subs, amp ect...
centeral locking -- killer alarm on her --
    17''inc alloys
    thats about it really....

but yeah, other then that im looking to put extractors on her and make the exhaust even louder so she sounds even more tough. then after the paint and that i will put some rims on her... i thiink she has alot of potential. so if you can put some of your imput into it, it would be greatly appreciated, make suggestions on what i can do, mods... paint... ect... and yeah... cheers

honestly theres not really much else u can do without going into the $$$... it all depends on what you want... sunday beast? daily shiner??

The best thing for making a car LOOK a1:

-A good exterior wash (get rid of ALL dirt, tar etc.) and then a nice polish, dont forget to clean your wheels
-A good interior clean (vacuum floors, carpet, boot... armour all over dash and a good air freshner)
-Keep your car level (get the front lowered too for gods sake)
-Bigger wheels (because you have such a bulky body kit they look out of proportion, and maybe "thin" them out - keep more space between spokes)

Best thing for making a car SOUND and RUN a1:

-Nice exhaust: extractors, hi-flow cat, 2 1/2" system
    -Cold air intake
    -Tune up
-Good service (oil, filters, plugs, leads, seals, dizzy cap etc. etc. etc.)

In regards to your panel problems, go see a pannel beater get them fixed

    Looks good. I would

*Remove the white and red stripes
    *Get the suspension lowered equally
    *Turbo
*Respray in the same colour. Or if you don't want to do a Brocky mock take the kit off and you can have a endless list of paint colours to choose from.

im a 2nd yr apprentice panel beater, like sheepz said, it depends on what kind of $$$ u wanna spend on it, also, depending on how bad the dints are, if they're little you can fill them up with car filler. Not the best option, but it is cheap and only you would know its in there. Only problem with that is you will have to paint the whole door again. If the dints are quite big then you might be best getting a new door. With the large dint above the windsheild, you can hammer it out, but i would defently recomend getting a panel beater to do this, as what people don't realise it metal stretches. So hammering it too much, will leave you with a big high spot.....in conclusion....cheap option would be get someone to bog the door, and take it to the panel beaters to fix the top corner.

hope i helped a little ha, prob me just blabbering on about crap but yeah.....
