my Injected 5L VL

Hi all, Here is my ride, bought it 6 months ago because I was sick of slow 4 cylinders.
Specs:
Simmon 16" rims
King Springs
Thick sway bars (not really sure what has been done to the suspension but it handles great)
VT discs and twin piston Calipers on the front
Rebuilt VN 5L V8
Extractors + 2.5" Exh
Modified and moved airbox out under guard
Shift Kitted Turbo 700 (possibly also Corvette servo but havent opened it up to check)
Walky LSD
Custom Memcal
Battery moved to boot
Calais Dash Cluster
Ford Corsair door handles (I know im a traitor lol but they are black and bolt straight on)

I am in the process of changing the interior from green to black, only done the door cards and pinch weld around the door frames so far.
has a bit of surface rust here and there but nothiing that cant be easily fixed

except my torque converter is stuffed so I have a nice big pulsing vibration over 3500 rpm atm

went to willowbank last night, my first ever drive down a drag strip, only got 2 runs tho, had to go home early.
best run was a stock BBMP tune. I tried again with more timing at 100kpa but ended up slower

hey mate. just wondering where you got the ford door handles for. im looking at putting them on my vk. do they fit on front and rear doors? thanks

I didnt do the conversion myself so I have no idea (sorry) I can take photos of my setup if you want. I can tell you it must be close the the VN setup coz the belts are all the VN ones.

Bought the corsair door handles from a wrecker and they do fit on the front and rear. it is a little tight to get the bolts in and you need to use the bolts off the corsair, but once all tightened they sit flat and loko sweet. I have no idea if the VK bolt holes are the same.

also seeing as your re doing your interior black which is what im doing.
go ebay for carpet and headlining. its so cheap and looks good. Think the carpet company is knox auto carpets. its like 150 for carpet

top work mate... i done this conversion to my old vl wagon i had... never ended up getting it regod but jeez it was quick with the interior stripped out of it
