    Default Project - SIKBBQ

I've had this idea for a while finally thought I'd give it a go

My idea is to make a trailer out of a vl rear (sedan) and to mount a bbq in the boot perfect for cruises. I'd like to keep it looking as close to a calais as possible pending on parts
I'll try and get ready for the next Brock Cruise (NZ) that's the goal at this stage would like it to be at Kumeu car show (NZ)aswell depending on how I go at finding parts

Could be cool, going to keep an axle in there and use it as a trailer?
How much of the rear are you going to use?
Seen it done a few times but not with a VL. Good luck

any reason why you chopped the roof/ doors off??
you could of boxed the b pillar to b pillar off and had the back seat area as storage and a area to have a built in table and sauce despensor

I chopped the roof off because it will be easier access to the trailer part which will be where the back seats were plus it be like towing a parachute with the roof on
The rear doors are staying put will weld them shut box the front off at the B pillar and put panel steel over the inside of the doors also getting a mate to make up a fibreglass hard top that will cover this whole area to make it weather proof
