    Default 165Kws to 190Kws

hey all i was reading somewhere it's not that hard to get a 5L 304 165kws to 190kws with a few cheap mods..

i've put a SS induction and a K&N filter on. it already had a decent exhaust on the car when i bought it so. Any idea on how to get to 190kws cheap

That's pretty much about right, You will go 190rwhp (190kw) on a tune only most of the time, Nothing to special about that much power for a stock 304. With just the right exhaust and a manual box you can go to about 230 rwhp

also switch to a good quality full synthetic oil of the correct grade, oh and some nice extractors if you don't have them yet, it all helps

We are running a VC 308 with injected heads, an auto, extractors and a single 2 1/2" with a Haltech and it is just under 250rwhp.....

Forget the synthetic oil. It would burn it up like cooking oil in a week.

Stay a LONG way away from full synthetics on a 304. The bearings don't like it AT ALL

Totally possible with a manual box and a GOOD twin system, 170 rwkw is the most power I've seen from one though, A guy called Drema on SC. His car runs 9.0 1/8th 14.0 1/4 on a 3.08 diff. The WORST power I've seen from a manual 5 litre with a tune was 147 rwkw, all that had was a lot of ks on it and a 2.5 inch cat back
