A/c VP

Is the A/C still ment to kick over even though there's no gas in it? I know there's no gas in my A/C but when i press the A/C bottom in the car to start it nothing happens.

no it shouldnt run

theres mulitple safety switches in the circuit for the compressor clutch.. one being the high/low pressure switch..

the refridgerant carrys the oil so no refrig, no oil and your compressor will eventualy seize
