hey which light on a vn is the break light? is it the top or bottom one?
the car i bought has had the rear lights all wired together ie. all lights come on when you turn the headlights on, or when you press the breaks.. thanks..

All should work with the lights on as tail lights, yet some only use one for the brakes and some use both.Dont know why but thats what i have found. They have an extra wire going to the other light.Maybe a VN/VP thing.

1.) You sure it wasn't meant to be like that? Thats how my VN is (from factory).

2.) How do you have a 1992 model VN?

I think if you have the back window light then you have 2 other brake lights but if you don't have it then all 4 light up.

Were there double filament globes in every socket? There is a clear difference between tail light and brake as the extra filament makes the light considerably brighter.

And there is no such thing as a 1992 model VN. As said, they stopped VN production in 1991.

i was under the impression that VNs originally had top and bottom for parker, and only top for brakes.

my vp had top and bottom for both. as said though, looms get chopped and changed, do what you think looks good! when i say had, i mean it used to, now the tops do NOTHING and bottom is both parker and brake (also have a spoiler with brake on it).
