    Default Shift kits??

hey, got a '90 vn calais, currently stock sept for an exhaust system which i got it with, but i plan to buy a stage 3 reco engine, which is gonna sting me $4500, i know i'd be better off with an 8 however i'll be on my p's in 2 years, and please, don't whine and say you'd be better off saving for a house, i already know its a stupid idea spending thousands of $ on my car, HOWEVER its what i wanna do, and if im broke when it comes time for a house, i'll deal with it then, anyways, with the stage 3 engine, would i be better off droppin a manual in, or gettin a shift kit, i know NOTHING bout shift kits, i have only thought about it today so done shit all research, can anyone explain the pro's/con's of them to me?

    Cheers, Steve.
