    It's either 1/2" or 9/16", I'm pretty sure it's 1/2".

It's definitely not 5/16", that is the same as 8mm. If I was at home I could check. It must be 9/16" then.

    9/16" is close to 13.2-3mm

so a 14mm would probbly fit and turn it but be loose.

9/16" is actually bigger than 14mm, 14.2875 to be exact. 14mm will sometimes fit a 9/16" head but it will be tight.

the head of the bolt is 9/16", and a short flat dwarf ring spanner is handy. Don't forget you have to bridge 2 wires at the diagnostic connector near the ECU. Hope you have small hands and thin arms.

Take the LH cover off and pull the heater hose up over the lip on the firewall and you will have more room.

14mm. OP, why didn't you just throw some spanners down there and see what fit? How long could it possibly take? lol

You can get a full blanket of spanners for about $25 from Bunnings when they're on special. Decent ones too. I've hit them with all manner of hammers, and used them to lever stuff, and they don't bend There's a lot to be said for chinese stuff these days

haha i might have to have a look. i thought they'd cost way more than that! it's kind of hard trying to work on a car with a 20 year old socket set (that is missing the sockets you need), multigrips (worst tool ever), and a shifter

haha that sounds like my original tool kit from years ago... before I discovered the sheer number of things that could be achieved with an array of hammers!
