Anyone got a Part number or know the size etc for the brake caliper front and rear bleeder nipples.
Also Stocky Diff vs LSD waht are the good and bad of both
Cheers
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
Pros:
open diff: very cheap, less frequent service intervals, safer for noobs
lsd diff: towing heavy loads, safer for experienced drivers

So would there be much HP gain to wheels with a lsd noticable or little?

None, it has nothing to do with horsepower. If anything at all, you would lose the tiniest immesurable fraction through rotating mass and mechanical friction.

gotcha thanx![]()

Why aren't LSDs safe for noobs? More likely to lose the back end under power?
while this threads going, can anyone recommend where i can get some copper washers for the fronts? i got 'champion' brand ones from autobarn.
the 3/8 ones have too small inner diameter to fit the banjo bolt, but the outside diameter fits the hollow on the caliper
the 7/16 ones have the right inner diameter to fit the banjo bolt, but the outside diameter is to big to fit the hollow on the caliper.
Pretty much. A single spinner lets you know when you've given it too much boot in the rain, and you can back off. An LSD will throw you sideways pretty much instantly - and in a car with stock suspension, that can be scary for ANYONE at 80kph.
Conversely, if you drive like a chopstick and keep your foot booted all the time, a single spinner is going to do something unpredictable at some point, and throw you into a wall. An LSD will always react in the same way, so you can at least brace yourself for the impact.
Take a sample washer into Burson and they have packets of them everywhere.

I like it morton haha !
OK in " chopsticks" terms
Open center = crap single wheel skids unless you get em spinning fast enuff or your dif is just ****ed or welded up :P
LSD, great for going sideways and laying 2 lines of rubber instead of 1 !
I hope thats easy to comprehend...........
But as morton said, lsd + wet = dangerous for the novice driver
and allso cheap parts for me![]()
Also just note, cheap/old lsd + wet + good driver = dangerous anywaySometimes worn LSDs aren't as predictable as you'd like

mate 2 different size bleed nipples on the front of vn/vp's best bet is to take one into a shop and match it. to not drain all the fluid clamp a brake line with a pair of vice grips.

genuine maybe?? You got a dealer near you
Peg it around a tight left hand corner. If it singles, it's getting old![]()

vn fe2 nipples i think are the same on series 2 vp/vr/vs.
Try the wreakers for them.
how many do you need?
I might have a old one here.
yea i tryed the local Holden dealer they claim they dont make or sell them anymore, only after the front to nipples since the old owner of my car thought it be fun to strip the 10mm nut on the bleeder![]()
