    Default Transmission pan Torque Settings

    hi all i own a vn Auto and am wanting to service the trans i want to know what torque the bolts need to be torqued to so i dont damage me gasket or pan all help would be great

    SFA, or 11nm. Hand tight then a quick 'nip' is all they need.

    I assume it takes Dexron3, so I reckon the standard Valvoline Dexron3 would be fine, or the long life version.

    Dexron III is whats specified. That ATF4000 is a Dexron III equivalent.

    yes, i figured that, i'm just saying i don't think you need to spend any more than the regular Valvoline. I've been using it in my VS for 7 years and no problems with it. Drop the pan and filter about every 18 months.

    Sorry was replying to the OP's post but you bet me to it. But as you said brand doesnt really matter as long as it meets the required specs. And stand clear of fully synthetic unless you have cash to waive around lol
