what type of paint

is cardinal red a 2 pac or acrylic paint i have tried searching but couldnt find anything......

It can be mixed as either base. From the factory, Holden used acrylic upto the series 2 VR's.

i just talked to a painter today about paint work on a vp and vs and he told me that both would be 2pack with clear over and the colour will be damn thin.

From factory it is acrylic. However if he were to paint it, it would be 2pac most likely as painters rarely use acrylic now days as an automotive paint.

the painter is wrong.

anything pre vr2 was done in acrylic, anything after is 2k.
