VP 3.8 intermittent shitty idle... but wait theres more...

Righto, apart from the shitty trans, the cars developed another hiccup, after a run up the southern expressway last night, the idle dropped to about 350rpm and then stalled out. on restarting it wouldnt idle by itself, also it dies as soon as the aircon is turned on. doesnt seem to be lacking power in normal driving conditions. will check error codes again today but i dit it 3 days ago and got nothing.

Try resetting the iac valve.
Disconnect the red wire where it goes into the bottom of the engine fuseable link, leave it off for a couple of minutes. Reconnect it, then rev the car to 3000rpm for 10seconds you will see the revs drop a tad. The IAC should be reset. Its a good idea to let the car warm up before disconnecting the fuseable link.
