    Default vn 3800 rebuild help !!!!

    hey guys i have just pulled my motor our of my vn due to welsh plugs and i was just wondering what other stuff i should do to my engine why it is out and how hard are head gaskets to do on them the things ive thought of so far is.

    welsh plugs
    valley seal
    rear main seal
    head gaskets
    rocker cover gaskets
    sump gasket

    thanks guys im a second year aprentice so it shouldnt be to hard thanks

    Valves and springs should be done while you got it out. Maybe even timing chain.

    Also if you buy a vrs gasket kit it will have nearly every gasket to do the motor.

    thanks man um where do u get the vrs kit the endinge has done 380,000 km and its on gas to so how much are valves and springs thanks

    Must do the timing chain tensioner - must!!
    White 05 V6 VZ Executive - Thrashed Ex Telstra car

    Most brands have vrs kits, just ask when you go to order a set. I got my vrs acl tace series for 250 i think delivered.

    230 about for gaskets, 30 for timing chain tensioner, Or off ebay you could get all you need for 300.

    Also when the timing cover is off - look for corrosion behind the water pump outlet. I've had 3 Vn motors leak from behind this point.
