I have seen this topic alot and was woundering who can make up brackets and what size the drive belt should be? before the supercharger goes on is their anything else that has to be done to the engine eg. decompression gaskets?
The only place i know of that sell the sc14 brackets are CRS and you have to buy the whole supercharger kit off them at around $2000. When i put one on my wagon i found a pic of a tracing of the 2 lower brackets. I saved that then printed on A4. Came out the perfect size, I thought i had posted it somewhere on here but cant find it now. But good news is it is somewhere on the World Wide Web.
For the belt if you have air con and want to keep it then go for a ecotec belt but if you dont have air con or dont want air con then just use a aircon belt and dont put it on the air con pully.
For the motor, thicker head gaskets are aways a good idea when playing with boost but not a must, aslong as you get something good done with the tune you should be right with a standard motor.
Now go back through all the threads you have already seen on this topic and read them, after that you shoud know all you will need to know because all the info is on here, so you might even have to use the search button.

Thanks Matt for your help. Ill try and chase up the pic of the brackets and get biproducts australia to lazer cut one up for me.
crs do sell them seperately, i think its around $450 for buicks.
ok i shell look into it. thanks guys
don't worry about de-comp, 8.5:1 is perfect. you MUST get it tuned before driving and larger injectors to prevent engine damage. stock bottom end should do 10psi without an issue![]()
10 psi without a issue didnt think they could handle that psi. Do you know the killowatts this would be puting out.
many running 16-20 psi on stock engines

wouldnt htink 16psi would last to long the charger would die in a short time
but then 16 is way over the norm
i was meaning more the engine handling it but yeah i dont see an SC14 doing 16psi for to long.I hear a rumor that we may find out how much one will take soon

20 psi is that a stock n/a v6 with supercharger kit or supercharged v6 edition.
most of the turbo boys run 16psi on stock engines my mate feads his $57 ebay engine 16psi all day every day

ok you posted faster then i could reply lol. Yeah i dont see a sc14 doing that but i have heard of other superchargers that toyota made that can do 16 psi
What does is turbo v6 go like?
the SC14 will do 16psi when on a 4 cylinder but trying to do it on a 3.8 you just need to spin hell out of it yes they do spin them way faster than the limit on a lot of 4 cylinders and get really high boost too way more rpm than 10-12 psi on a v6 and they seem to handle it

Thats fast! im not to sure which way to go turbo or supercharged.
Man im just gettin started, i just keep getting more and more crazy ideas, Twin throttles are bolted on, just need to make some new cooler piping. I have just moved up to 16psi of boost for standard driving and god its fun. After putting the 3inch zorst on i seen the boost go to at least 19psi before i backed off and turned it down and the motor in her now came out of a car i brought a couple of years ago for $300.

Matt will run an 11 one day (at least). The SC14 blower can make 12-13 psi staying within it's "offical" rev rating. How far past the redline can you spin the blower.... I don't think anyones tried because you need to change the main pulley to spin it that fast. But I wouldn't be suprised if you could get 15 psi from one
