Default Changed To Manual Pedal, Now Sounds Like My Brake Booster Is leaking,Please Help Fast

Hi everyone, i put my new manual pedal box into my VP, everything went in smoothly, but now i have a stiff brake pedal and theres a terrible hissing sound coming from under the dash, where the shaft goes into the booster. Can anyone tell me what you recon has happened ?. Its got me puzzled, it sounds like it has a full on vaccuum leak but i barely touched the booster to swap pedals, unless the diafram was a bit brittle and its some how put a hole in it but moving the shaft to get it to disconnect from the pedal. But can someone please help me out here ?. Cheers
