So yeh, after many hours of working and help from my dad, fking finally replaced the thermostat ( 80c instead of 90c thermostat). then replace gaskets that broke, vacuum hose for the power assisted brakes then throttle spring since that broke as well (during repairs).
got a heater tap from a wrecker, install it correctly. now hot water flows into the car.
however, when i replace my headunit, i screwed up the heating controls. the main control that switches between hot and cold. how do i put it back together so it works like its supposed to? also, how does this control system work? so far i understand that there's a vacuum line from the heater tap, when activated it uses engine water into a radiator within the dash but what determines how much heat is required? if i cant get the control fixed could i just have it always on heat?
thanks for any help
You're probably wondering where you are. I'll tell you where you might be. You might be in the room that you die in. This is your wake up call.
there is a lever that the heater control metal arm clicks onto with a small clip that breaks usally. by adjusting that arm u can get the full range of cold and warm
^ what he said. the rod goes to a thing you can see from the drives side foot well
yeh i tried fiddling with that but i cant get a setting which allows the control to spin from max cold to max hot, it always stops way before max hot. i cant see it get the original settings.

You just need to have the control set all the way cold and then snap the rod into place with it pushed all the way back (white lever thing under the dash). I think thats how I did the last one.
