Default VN executive back window winder not working

Hi, as of last night my back window winder on the right hand side door isnt working. the sader thing about it is the window is winded down.
i have put a bit of time into trying to get the window up again at least temporary but am having no joy
so far i have managed to take off the inside door panel along with the handle of the winder. the metal piece spins but it feels like it is not making any torque with the cog inside. does anybody know how i could fix this or at least get my window up by tonight??
please i would really appreciate ideas, thanks x

hmmm with the inner door trim off can u manually push the window up..... if so u might have to wedge something in there to hold it up till u get a new winder mechanism..

hi, i have tried that but there is alot of tension from the thin wire preventing me from raising the window manually

Drill the pop rivets out, slide regulator off window. Use block off wood or jam regulator back in there until you get a replacement.
The wire has probably come off one of the little wheels over time and is now stuck.

Or cheaply, WD40 - lots of it....

Yeah it's not that hard. Regulators can be bought from the wreakers for like $15.
It's a little fiddly getting the slide on to the window channel. But If you read the how to on power windows, it'll give you some pointers. Also just pop rivet the new regulator back in.

Will find the size you need when its morning. Just get a 25 pact from bunnings, cost like $4

Did you have a crack at it yet? Replacement rivets are size 6.2
Well thats what it says on the box I have. Got them from bunnings. Otherwise, I believe that the rivets used in a VS (same size) are still stocked at Holden.
