air con controls stopped working

Just tonight driving home I was changing thru the settings to blow air to my feet instead of straight to my face anyhow when I got home whilst engine was running I changed back to the whole car option and it wont change.Its stuck on blowing air to the feet...

I have searched other threads is this caused by hose on the heater tap ?

I did remove the coolant bottle and the washer bottle to give them a rinse a few days ago ... could I may have partially blocked hose on putting it back.... is this hose easy to replace as it goes from heater tap into the firewall...

it seems the heater doesnt work to good anymore either ... and when I normally turn those dials you hear a pressure release sort of sound but thats disappeared.

The heater taps is less than 5 years old and still looks new..

any ideas ?

I would be checking all the rubber vac lines for splits and such.
That sound is the vacuum pressure thats used to change the vents, to direct the air.

nevermind all sorted vacum line on back of throttle body popped off ...

But one thing is the heater does go warm ... but not really hot ..... tomorrow I will stuff around with heater tap see if I can get warmer ..
