thanks...
Check out my link below to a thread that involves conversation about K&N filters. Start reading from my reply at post #4. To summarise before you click on the link; Do not bother with K&N filters. Stick to standard air filter and replace regularly.
fuel efficiency mods?
i found the lukey dry types alot better. using them in all my cars they are around $65 and re usable
K&N stuff is rubbish. They don't even filter the air properly.

ive tried k&n b4 and didnt like it, but then i tried a lukey filter and it is great, shits all over the k&n and as said is reusable and cheaper

Yeah i'm using the lukey too. Good stuff
u made the foam one like on these forums.
Now my intake is clean and a little oiled, not dusty like the normal paper ones.
I just use Wesfil air filters. Never had any dust in my intake, and the things are so cheap. (Come off the same production line as Ryco, too)

noob question here...
does all this K&N filter talk just apply to VNs?
would one be ok for a VL or should i go with a regular or a lukey filter?
dont worry
i think HoldenOnns thread answered my question
They sound purrrdy at the least![]()
Id use the lukey filters aswell i got 2 in both my cars much better than the K&N and they breath alot better 2 aswell as being washable. Also dun get the added oily crap that can go into the TB over time.

I am also using Lukey which are cheaper and can be washed with the garden hose. I would not buy a filter that needs expensive 'special' cleaners. That is just marketing B... ...T.
In fact the whole performance filter industry could be crap according to Holden On , but my motor does rev more freely with the Lukey than paper filters.
