Thought i would try ask if anyone has any ideas what could be up with my VN.
its a VN v6 S1 manual.
Since i bought it and replaced the engine it has been running like crap, and chewin the juice
through first it is fine hit second and nail it and it gets that feeling when the leads crossfire (even though they are well spaced away), like it has dropped a few cylinders.
replaced all the usual stuff: Series 2 DFI and coils, tried 3 different sets of leads, plugs, converted it to 4 wire 02 sensor (wired direct to ecu), throttle body sensors, fuel filter.
I even had my tuner back off the knock sensors a bit just in case it was the noisiness of the 20 year old motor tripping them off... no love there either
The only parts i havent replaced are CAS and fuel pump.
Im leaning toward fuel pump... but why would it use more fuel if its dying?
seems to be getting progressively worse too
Hit me up with some reputation points if i've helped you out! (Star in the bottom left!) Cheers!

Fuel reg, injector's faulty temp sensor etc............
Done a compression test ?
hehe i had that recently, ended up just being the fuel pump i tested everything else. the filter bag on the fuel pump was shot and i had nice lil rock like bastards in a year old fuel filter
hammer in first sick in 2nd alright in 3rd and high fuel consumption. since i stuck the new fuel pump in my fuel economy went down by about 2 litres per 100 km
I would go with fuel pump Gilbs. When I replaced mine I found I got better fuel economy out of it. Not much but a noticable amount. That pump died all of a sudden with no warning too, you don't want that to happen. Who would think a pump could affect fuel economy?
