okis, well i needa know some stuff, i've recently been looking up line lockers, but everywhere i look people are giving different answers, e.g: put them on the front, turn them on, push in the brakes and some sort of valve will let the fluid in to lock the front, but not let it out till you press the button.. somebody else said put them on the back, press the button to lock em, push in the brakes to apply only the front brakes as you please. and there was another way i heard, but anyway. does it vary for the different type you get? i'd personally prefer to have em lock my rear lines when i press the button, so i can press the brakes and have the front come on as i please.
does anyone know anything about "thrasher cams" they brag and state "The THRASHER RACE CAM is hands-down, the most aggressive, high performance aftermarket camshaft out on the market to date!" im not tryin to be picky, just im thinking about buying one..
everywhere i look for good pistons, i see Diamond forged pistons, good/bad? can anyone recommend better?
if i get my engine bored out, whats the furthest i'd wanna go? i want it to be as big as possible, with the exception of if one of my pistons decides it doesnt feel comfortable and ruins its sleeve i wanna be able to get one more run out of it by boring it out again.. (obviously with new pistons)
wheels: someone said to me not long back about getting bmw wheels? they stated a reason but i cant remember it, can wheels seriously do a great deal for performance? im thinking a set of centerlines, whats the widest im legally allowed to go on the back?
would it be possible, to relocate my battery to my boot, PLUS add another battery?
is it just my vn or everyones that has shitty brakes? the car just had $3200 spent on getting it r/w, and it got 3 r/w tests in that time, and i replaced the rear rotors/pads myself, and got the front machined and new pads on the front (i think, mechanic did that) and still no better? its like.. i push, and theres nothing untill it gets close to the end where i've got less then an inch to push on. is it all vns or mine? should i replace them?
suspension: mine is new, and stiff as shit. slightly lowered, i didnt put it on, car came like that. dunno what brand the suspension is, where it came from, nothin. so i think its gonna go. (as everything that came with the car was shit! ownd by a dick who seemed to like gutters) what would be a good choice for new suspension?
WHY THE HELL DOES MY BOOT LEAK!
+ i do plan on spending a bit of money on this coffin, so outta curiousity, would i be able to put a sunroof on it? and what cost/work would i be lookin at?
please, keep the irritating comments to yourself. i really dont need them. i just want some simple answers. or even your own suggestions.
if yous wouldnt mind could i get prices too? just wanna know what im lookin at.
I don't know man, But it seems like you MIGHT be wasting your time a bit.
Sounds like you have bought a daily driver which should only be used for daily driving. My suggestion would be (if wanting to spend that much on a car in general) is to a all ready to go VN 5.0lt that is mint for X amount and do that up.
Its a lot easier to get a V8 going harder than a V6. plus its instant respectz ; D
Even if your on your P's, it sounds like you want a hardcore project rather than a ever day bogan chariot.
Hand over the shovel now!!!This post is a year and a half old the OP has probably already performed all the listed mods or upgraded to a better car.
