is this a common thing with VP or just a short circuit somewhere?

hey mate, i can relate to the exact same thing in my old vn, when you touch the brake, the dash lights up and parkers come on, im fair sure its common because other mates i know have had to happen to them, but we never found out wat the cause was lol goodluck with it

Bad earths and possible crossed circuits somewhere, just give the tail light plugs a real good cleanout.
Check out my VP right 'ere!

also check the brake/tail globes (the holder with three wires going into it), if they are single filament globes, theres your problem. they might have replaced it for you when the car was getting work done...

wamboin23 = they wouldn't touch my car...they didn't even want to put my old tyres in my boot cause they didn't want to scratch the paint...so i highly doubt they'd change globes for me at a tyre shop...

Its one of the bulbs is blown. Either one of the parkers, or one of the brake lights.
