Default HMM crank angle or not

Hey guys, well my car has the symptoms of a crank angle censor, so i put a brand new one in this morning, and the only difference was it drives for an extra 20 mins before i have to let it cool, now i know its the crank angle, so is there any reason why 2 would have gone, like what could cause them to break....and i know its a common problem...should i jsut try another new one lol or stop wasting my money and just go to a mechanic (who would do the exact tame thing)

Try a mate's DFI and coils, just bolt it on and plug it in. Undo the bolts holding the coils down and you'll find the DFI is just sandwiched underneath.

Depending on the brand the CAS, there have been faulty ones. Do an error code check.

A crank angle sensor error code can also point to a faulty DFI, and vice versa. OP, do you have a LED test light?

yeah i know how to get error codes and i have a test light, btw it has got a new coil pack and new plugs, and new fuel filter (as these things could bugger up when hot as well), new crank angle, and what exactly do you mean by the DFI, sorry if that sounds dumb

The DFI is the unit which lives under the three coils, if you replaced the lot then that rules that out.

I'd be checking the wiring between the crank angle sensor and the DFI (just check the plugs for corrosion/moisture), then I might be inclined to try a different ECU.

some of the cheap crank sensors dont last long like a week or so .make sure the fins arnt tapping the sensor and worn through it a bit too.failing that wiring like camstatic said sometimes the dfi plug pin holes get a bit to opened up as well as coroded.and theres 2 plugs by the battery joing the engine loom feeding power to everything engine related too including the ecu injectors and dfi.
