Is it possible to add an airbag to a VP?

I reckon I can keep my old VP running for another 10 years, the only thing that worries me is that it isn't as safe as modern cars.

With this in mind, I was wondering if it is possible to retrofit an airbag to the driver's steering wheel? Does anyone know?

Airbags suck. My mate Lewis stacked his Ford Ranger ute into a stobie pole a few months ago. Smashed his face on the steering wheel, then the bag exploded late, in his face, burning him badly. He got more injuries from the airbag than from the accident itself.
