Default Why isnt my VN running smoothly??

Thought i'd just ask some more q's about the good old VN's! I think i have posted up something similar already, but cant remember...

Long story short... got a 89 v6 manual vn wag. replacing all the shot original parts. Though i had covered everything to help her purr like a kitten... BUT NO she isnt quite yet.

Replaced: engine mounts, gb mount, tailshaft, clutch, all rear bushes. but i still have some gearbox vibes.. not as bad as before now, but still there!

Last nite went on a cruise in my mate's (manual converted) 93 v6 Vp sedan. he also has replaced all the parts as i have. BUT his runs sooooooo damn smooth, little to no drive line vibes at any rpm! mine is terrible in comparison!

differences between our cars are: mine had a HD clutch kit- his standard. When he bought the conversion kit his tail shaft had been balanced.

Could my driveline vibes could be due to simply a ot of balance tail shaft? should i have balanced the fly/ clutch b4 install?- yet my mate didnt balance his?

    any thoughts???

Ive got similar problems with my VN, i just finished running in a reco engine and i get alot of gear box vibes. They went away for a week or so after i fixed a pretty bad exhaust leak form the extractor but its vibrating again as of tonight. I think its just and old car and old cars rattle and vibrate.
