    Exclamation VP - How do I 'Flush' the Transmission Oil?

    Hi guys!

    First time poster, and I love reading on the website, lota of great tips!

    Sadly, I was unable to find a Detailed Instruction on how to Flush the Tranny (Best for a home job) .. To get it done I keep getting quoted from $280min - 350+

    Sadly, as an Apprentice my $$$ is low'ish


    So, if anyone keen give me a detailed intrusction on How To & Refill the Transmission I'd be very greatfull!

    The car is, 1992 Holden Commodore VP - Auto.

    well get a bulk amount of trans fluid and a large empty container and sum long lengths of trans hose. work out which one is your input and out put lines. disconnect the trans cooler lines and add on the longer hoses so one is dumping into your empty bucket and the other is sucking from the drum of new fluid. run the car until the fluid being dumped is as nice as the fluid going into it

    Ahh, excellent! Will I need to losen or remove anything at all?

    Or just get it up on some Ramps and go from there?

    the worse thing is theres no suction on the second hose gravity is your freind there just undo both hoses off the trans cooler in the radiator side tank one will pump fluid when in drive the other is the return to the trans the one that squirts into a bottle or bucket the other attach to a bottle of trans fluid somehow so you can drain it down into the auto
    I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
    tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
