Fitting 1994 interior light into VN (different wiring colours/gauge)

Hey all

I know that the upspec interior/map light upgrade is pretty common but just wondering if anyone installed a later model Berlina/Calais interior light (VR) into a series 1 VN ?

The 1994 interior light I've got has got different colour wiring and the wires are nowhere near as thick so I was thinking of just soldering up my existing wires onto the new light

From what I see orange/black does the job of the solid orange and the white/green one is for the orange/white on my original wires
