Well an ecotec out of an vs wouldn't be too bad, and correct me if I'm wrong but they use the same if not basically the same gear box?

but the vn to vp have the kick down cable transmissions where the vr onwards had the computer kick down transmissions that is why i thought a vr-vs motor wouldnt bolt on to my transmission
thanks for your info anyway greatly appreciated

they all bolt on vn vp vr vs and ide say VT eco as well its just each one needs different tuning on the ecu to suit which isnt to hard after vr IE ecotech from the vs you need to swap to a different coolant sensor which is as easy as a adaptor to give the hole the right thread for the vn style sensor.i think greenfoam has an ecotech tune to suit vn ecu too.you need to add a bracket for the kickdown cable as well as the ecotech barcket doesnt have one.by far the easiest is vn-vr engine though ecotech just gets harder but many have done it before.
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
