having the rev liiter removed is stupid, the "tuner" selling them on ebay should know better.
the rev limiter is there for a reason.
if your getting a tune done you would need to specify that its on gas to the tuner.

I got one but it doesnt remove the rev limiter it just raised it to 6000 im pretty sure probably your best option.

    Removing the limiter on a Buick V6 is a quick way to turn a single-cam V6 into a twin-cam V5.

I had a guy call me today asking for a V6 with a little cam to be raised to 8500 rpm :S, he swears his old stock V6 spun to that . I told him a touch over 6000 is all I'm taking a V6 too and even that could fall apart at any time. I don't know where these guys get this idea from. They make no power past 5500 anyways. I'll take the 304 to about 6200 with a fairly large cam in as a shift point but it's a much stronger motor, I wouldn't be comfortable for the V6 to go that high

The guy is insane.... The motor in my old vn died spinning at 5500...

buicks are not supposed to rev, i get scared and take my foot off the accelerator everytime my car goes past 5400-5500.....
To scared something is going to go pop

To the OP, get your tune off greanfoam, quality product..... (i've heard delcowizard is pretty good aswell )

The Vn V6 is just such a badly balanced motor - that's the problem.

lol some of you are brave. I don't like taking mine past 4000, although with Clevite and Hastings gear holding the bottom end together (thanks to zuicider up there) I don't know why I worry
