Default window scratches made while winding window

this may be a common problem, but id like to know whether there is a general fix for this problem or is it just the rubber is not in place properly or something along those lines?

there are some obvious scratches in my vp and vt from window winding, one is electric one is manual winder.

+1 wondering about this, more because I have new tint and don't want to ruin it My curiosity is more in terms of prevention...

I'm leaning toward the vertical channel that holds the front of the glass in line deteriorating. This would allow the window to move excessively especially when wound down, possibly scratching against the mechanisms inside the door. Worth a look..

I always just assumed it was pieces of dirt or dust stuck inside the exterior door seal. every time the window moved they would rub on the glass.

If it was that simple you could probs blow it out with compressed air.

Exterior seal wouldn't leave scratches in the tint, which most complaints of 'scratched windows' would be.
